Red Celebration Mood Board of the Month 2012!

Hello!

FYI: mood board is a mix of inspirations that can be images or texts from the web or taken by yourself in real life and which you put them together into one page. This is great to present your own ideas and develop design concepts within the design team.

FYI#2: While interning at Marie Claire magazine, I was asked to create my own mood board each month and present it to my supervisor about how I would feel and forecast next month theme. So I think this is great for me to do this as a monthly basis to keep myself up-to-date and hopefully inspire you all in some way.

So here I'm presenting my mood board of the month!

Theme: Red Celebration!

Shop Till I Almost Dropped!

Last Saturday, I shopped a lot!! Especially yesterday! Since I got some red envelopes, I just wanted to spend some more to get ready for Spring!

The first top right picture is from MNG! MNG has its new collection since last week! It was just too tempting to not spend a few on it ^^
So I got this new stripes top. I love the details like the gold buttons and yellow stripes.
I also got this creamy oversize shirt. It’s a V-neck one. To be honest, I don’t own a lot of white or creamy tops so I had to collect some while I have money XD What’s special about this top is that it’s almost like a ‘boyfriend’ shirt. The sleeves, in particular, make it more masculine.

TODAY, I spent a few more of my CNY money at Topshop XD I love this red fitted dress. I can definitely go layer with this dress. I don’t like fitted dress all the way. Personally, it’s uncomfortable. Plus, if I want to go girly and ‘kawaii’, this loose bottom part is great! :D
I got two tops of different patterns. Like I said, I don’t have a lot of white tops XD So here I am! A must-have in my wardrobe! White tops can just go with anything!
The other black floral top is lovely! Sadly, I have to admit that at the sleeves part, it’s a bit big than I thought. So you can see my bra…but I thought of a solution! Fashion Tape!! XD
Lastly but not least, I had to buy at least a pair of SOCKS! This one is adorable!!! It has bows of different pastels colors!! And the price is ‘quite’ lovely too XD 250 baht! Topshop has a variety of cute socks, so check it out! :D

My shopping day could not end without stopping by Forever 21! I like Forever 21 necklaces only! The rest of the store doesn’t appeal to me at all. It’s too cheap for me. It failed my expectations from my last purchased 2 years ago. Sorry :/

Their rings also disappointed me. I cannot stand those objects that smell funny like the ones I bought before smelled like metals (duh!) after I sweat (ewww!) Sorry but this is something that I cannot stand. >.< But their necklaces are cute XD I mean look at the details from these necklaces!

Minnie Mouse Maybe?

My first thoughts of this look were actually to experiment more with this red polka dots shirt. The more kawaii I wanted to be, the more I turned into a Disney character, according to my friend T^T oh well I guess that’s kawaii haha XD

Red Polka Dots/ White Collar: CPS
Black shorts: Lyn Around

**Tip#1: pair with black stocking (high over knees) for more kawaii look.
**Tip#2: It’s great to have a sweet touch with black lace and tie it like a bow.

Chillin’ and Stripes

I like to have a day to just wear comfortable clothes. Stockings and a long shirt are the best combination to relax, comfy but still stay stylish.

Floral Stripes Shirt: Stradivarius
Black stockings: Central Department store
Oversize jacket: from my sister XD
Ankle boots in brown: Zara

**Tip#1: Leggings are our best friends! They go with anything long (usually reach to cover enough your bottom)
**Tip#2: Go with flats if you want to be more comfy on a Sunday
**Tip#3: Satchel bags instead of a handbag, this was just my personal preference

Thai working women inspiration

I think this title suit best what I want to portray. During my internship at Marie Claire (Thailand), all Thai working women in the Fashion department was wearing something to what I’m wearing here. They like to wear something long and loose at the bottom and wear something comfy rather than fit on your body at the top.

White t-shirt: from my sister :p
Long polka dots skirt in dark green with belt: Shibuya 109

**Tip#1: If you want to wear this look for work, go with high heels and close at the front. But if you’re planning to see some friends or go shopping, I would prefer flats or small heels for comfy.
**Tip#2: Skinny belts are great to accentuate and divide your waist. Don’t forget that!

Simply Shopping

I can’t think of what I can call this look. But I went shopping on that day and I was happy XD

Pink top: from my sister
Black shorts: Lyn Around
Grey stockings: Accessorize
Black ankle boots: Central Department store

**Tip#1: I love to tuck in my top inside my skirt/pants/shorts. This helps to elongate my body. Another advantage of that is because I, myself, have long legs (and skinny legs) and I’m only 160cm, so it’s great to show off my legs to make others think I’m tall XD
**Tip2: High waist shorts are also great to make you look tall. But make sure that the shorts still cover your bottom cheeks!!!
**Tip#3: If you feel that you’re showing too much skin at the bottom, go with stockings of creamy color. Sometimes wearing any dark color socks can be too exaggerating. If you want to be more discrete, go with soft/ lighter colors.

Red Dragon

I wanted to play with the red color for this year’s Chinese New Year.

Pink shirt: CPS
Red Skinny pants: Bershka
Red belt: from Japan
Rose Golden Necklace: from my friends for my birthday

**Tip#1: Try to layer different color of red but don’t over layer!
**Tip#2: As for shoes, I went with simple brown oxfords.
**Tip#3: As for makeup, I went neutral eyeshadows but had red/orange lips.

Pink means Passion

You might have noticed that I’ve worn this pink shirt quite often for the past week. I love simple shirts. They go with anything. A small detail like a collar can make the entire look formal.

Pink shirt: CPS
Black shorts: Lyn Around
Clutch: Zara

**Tip#1: Accessorize the look. Example, wear long necklace to elongate your chest.
**Tip#2: In terms of layering, you can wear a tank top inside and wear another cropped blazer outside. It’s just too hot in Thailand to layer more than 2 >.<

From Day to Night

I prefer to keep down my ‘kawaii’ style outside of university/campus. There are several reasons to not show or wear at Thai universities so I like to wear cardigans to cover up some parts. Then when I’m out elsewhere, I would go back with my ‘kawaii’ style.

DAY LOOK
Black cardigan: Uniqlo
Blue collar shirt: CPS
Pink pleated skirt: Shibuya 109
Brown Oxfords shoes: Central Department store

NIGHT LOOK
Blue collar shirt: CPS
Pink pleated skirt: Shibuya 109
Black stockings: unknown XD I don’t remember :p
Black heels: Central Department store

**Tip#1: I’m not sure if you can see on the pictures but I tied a nice bow on my shirt for a sweet touch
**Tip#2: If you don’t want to go with black stockings, you can wear short socks that have cute patterns on it. Dark color socks can do. For cute patterned socks, stop by any Topshop stores.

Otona Kawaii (translation: Cute Adult)

LAST OOTD for this week XD Oh my gosh I didn’t realize I took a lot of OOTD! XD This is my favorite look of the week! Cute! Feminine! Flirty! Sexy too! XD

Black cardigan: CPS
Rabbit patterned skirt: from Japan
Black stockings: from Japan
High heels: Aldo

**Tip#1: If you want to go completely feminine, go with pencil skirt. Beige more preferably.
**Tip#2: Small details like this pearly necklace can turn the look very feminine.

PHOTO OF THE DAY!

I have to share this adorable assembled of chocolate in those dim sum boxes!!! Yes, adorable and very creative!! My parents got these from their Singaporean friend! Not only cute but delicious! Yummy~!

Until then, everyone, enjoy CNY celebration!

Love,
Rosie

Greatest Fashion Tip for Advice: Guy Friend!

Hi, hi! ^^

I'm back with some more OOTD! Get ready! :D

Let's start from far left to right:

Kawaii Smart Girl in Town
-White shirt: a shop from Shibuya 109
-Grey romper: from my sister XD
-Black tights: from mommy XD
-White flats with bow: Central Department store

**Tip #1: play around with your hair. And then accessorize it if you want for more of a girly look :)
**Tip #2: High heels could work too! Flats are just my personal preference for comfort ;)
**Tip #3: I love big bags since I can just throw many things in it. But small cute satchels type are good too :)

Casual Lady-like
-Knitted jacket in brown: from Japan
-Rabbit patterned skirt: from Japan
-Ankle boots in brown: Zara

**Tip #1: these kind of jacket with clean lines are very lady-like. I love wearing knitted jacket as a simple top so I don't have to waste extra time thinking about adding another top. The less the better :)
**Tip #2: I want to be casual by wearing those ankle boots but still give a feminine touch. If you want to go all the way lady-like, feel free to wear high heels :)
**Tip #3: To not too overwhelmed the entire look, I pulled back all my hair into a messy bun and accessorize with a nice hair clip from Japan.

My Uni Uniform

I just wanted to include my uni uniform because this is what I have to wear everyday to uni. There is nothing much you can do when wearing uniform. You can only play around with outer jackets, bags, shoes, hair and makeup. So i will try to show you guys what i can do but usually i tend to be lazy when i go to uni in terms of fashion :/

Go-to Birthday Dinner

When you look at other fashion bloggers about birthday dinner outfits, it's all about glam and bling bling accs...But in Thailand, we, girls, tend to go pretty casual. Well, especially my girls I hang with :p It's just a dinner gathering, you know? XD

To be honest, on that night, I was in a rush. I didn't prepare my outfit beforehand. I just came back from uni and my guy friend called me up to hang out before dinner. There were full of clothes everywhere in my room and I couldn't believe I came out with this....I felt horrible....out of fashion...>.<""
Thank gosh my guy friend actually thought I looked good XD

-Denim short shorts: CPS (or CHAPS, local Thai brand)
-White shirt: H&M
-Knee high socks in grey: Accessorize @ CTW
-Ankle boots in brown: Zara
-Heart wooden necklace: Stradivarius

****Tip #1: I think this is the best tip I could give to you gals! ASK YOUR GUY FRIENDS FOR FASHION ADVICE! Sometimes you would be shocked what guys really think of you of what you wear! They are great with honest opinions when shopping! XD Try and let me know!! :D

Kawaii Casual Friday the 13th

I actually really loved this look! :D Good start to start my weekend! XD

-Kitty printed shirt: Zara
-Pleated skirt in pink: Shibuya 109
-Over high knee socks in brown: Japan
-Oxford shoes in brown: Central Department store
-Oversize jacket in dark brown: from my sister XD

I hate how high socks are not fashionably accepted in Thailand. And also, Thai women and girls always say that wearing high socks is too hot for this weather. Or... people wearing high socks are considered as crazy?....
Well...think about it again...why do you wear leggings? Isn't it the same thing but just that it doesn't cover your feet?

Alrighty, I'm done with the first part of this post XD

Here I want to share my favorite lashes of this month!!! <3<3<3

I never dared to wear these Dolly Wink (center pic) top lashes until this week. These lashes are from the new eyelashes line of Dolly Wink produced by Tsubasa Masuwaka. They are extremely long in width and the position of each lash is very unusual that I never wanted to try them on :X Trust me...they look scary from the naked eye

But at the end of the day................................I LOVE THEM! They are so natural looking! Even better than Ayumi's lashes I wore for the past days!!! I just had to cut at least 2 sections of the lashes to fit them on my eyelid. I will try to write a review in the future >.<

I also love these lower lashes from Ayumi's line. They are actually quite long but very natural looking too :)

I want to share some food pictures with you XD Yummy~ <3

Finally, I've been wanting to share this with you all!!!

At the beginning of this month, I stopped by Zeen Zone on the 7th floor of Central Chidlom and guess what I saw in the beauty section

EYELASHES FROM POPTEEN MODELS!!!!! WAAAAAA!!! XDDD

The entire shelf was full of new lashes from JAPAN!! I was so HAPPY!! But I didn't want to buy them yet XDD
It's actually a little pricey...it's 480baht whereas you can get 405baht from Japan. But it's OKAY! I'm happy! I hope they will bring in Dolly Wink someday! XDD

After a week, I went back there out of boredom...
guess what...

This is it! I hope you enjoyed this post! A lot of OOTD in details XD More and more to come!

Just a reminder: next time you go shop by yourself, invite one of your closest guy friend with you. And trust me, he will give you the most honest/straight forward opinions! :D <3

Japan Trip Part One~!

During Christmas period, I went to Japan for the first time. Japan, this beautiful land filled with surprises, has been my dream to visit for ten years. And this big dream has finally come true. Thank you, mom and dad <3

I went with a high school friend for about 8 days. The whole plan process of this trip has really paid off. I'm proud of myself and my friend for having the courage to go to a foreign land where we could barely speak and understand the people. It was definitely adventurous, fun, exciting and interesting in its own way :)

Let's have pictures speak on their own and I will just have a short caption below each picture so you guys know what's going on.

P.S. this is only few pics I picked out of 930+pics!!!!!

Enjoy! :D

Above: Maid Cafe called Maidreamin at Akihabara! Cute and delicious food! The waitresses were all adorable and fun! XDD

Above: FOOD I had while I was there!

Above: cute and trendy underground shops in Tokyo...I think that was at Shinjuku station :)

2 pictures above: Asakusa Temple Sightseeing day! We also ran into a married couple too! That was beautiful! <3

Above: Imperial Palace at Tokyo station! Too bad it was closed :( public holiday >.< Also saw this long drawing underground!

Above: my all-time favorite street > SHIBUYA!!!! :D

Above: I have to admit that I don't remember the name of this place. Sorry >.< But it was really nice! Probably it was in Osaka >.<

This is just one part of my trip! I don't want to overload you guys with loads of pictures yet! So I will post more later this week! Stay tuned and have a good weekend of rest and fun before school starts (for some of you XD)

Take care!

Happy New Year 2012!

Happy New Year 2012!!

How was your new years eve celebration?

I celebrated with my loving high school friends at this fabulous hotel, owned by one of my high friend :) We stayed at one of the penthouse of 2 floors and an awesome balcony with jacuzzi for us to watch the fireworks around Bangkok. It was just beautiful and great feelings to celebrate such a big day of the year with your friends. But we were all disappointed with the fireworks. It was short and ended unexpectedly :/
Since I came back from Japan, my style quite changed since then or perhaps, just improved :) I was well inspired by the young people there. I realize that looking through Japanese magazines is way beyond reality. You have to see real fashion through your own eyes. But I know I can still improve my style if I keep visiting Japan in the near future :)
Let me briefly tell you about Japan, if you haven't been there yet: clean, cute!, friendly and very fashionable people (especially in Tokyo, very inspirational). In terms of food, I have to say Bangkok's Japanese food are better XD I guess we try to adjust the food to be more tasteful. Please don't feel offended >.< Maybe that's because my friend and I just entered to random restaurants, we just wanted to have food XD

Alright, let's get down to some OOTDs :D

1) New Years Eve Outfit: Sweet Pink New Year Eve Celebration

Pink Pleated Skirt with beige bow belt: a shop from Shibuya 109, Japan
Glittery Knitted Top: Zara
Fur Collar: Shibuya 109, Japan

Ankle Boots: Zara

2) Day One Twenty Twelve

Ankle boots: Zara

3) Day Two Twenty Twelve

Top: CPS (local Thai brand)
Rabbit pattern skirt: Namba Walk, Osaka
Knee High Socks in brown: a shop in Yokohama station
Ankle Boots: Zara

4) Some more OOTDs before and after new year :)

LEFT
T-shirt in grey: bought at my favorite band live concert :)
Pleated Denim Skirt: CPS (local brand in Thailand)
Ankle Boots: Zara

MIDDLE
White shirt: H&M
Long polka dots skirt in turquoise with brown belt: Shibuya 109
White flats: local Thai brand

RIGHT
Bow Dress in brown: Shibuya 109
White flats: local Thai brand

That's it! As you can see, I have been wearing a lot of clothes from Japan. I love Shibuya 109! It's cheap and CUTE! CHO KAWAII DA YO! I would never get bored of that building but I can be very picky with my style. I love dolly and kawaii! But it must also be comfortable :) I wish i could go back to Japan at least twice a year during mid season XD

A little observation: I walked around Siam Square yesterday with a friend. I looked at the clothes here in Thailand and compared them with the ones in Shibuya 109 and I'm very sad and disappointed of quality of clothes in Bangkok :/ It's too cheap but I understand that the quality and the price really match....I wish I could bring some Jap brands to Bangkok like what just happened in Singapore! I'm so jealous! >o<"

Alright, before I end this longggg post, I want to share my...

New year resolutions 2012!

To be a better person !

Get more fit! Work out at least 2-3 times a week! Gambarimasu!

Take care of my skin more and more!

Rosie
